We are seeking Marine Co-ordinators to provide support over our peak shipping season – where cruise, container and bulk vessel activities are at their busiest and most complex time. The roles are therefore fixed term for an 8 month period.
Reporting to the Marine Systems and Security Manager, the Marine Co-ordinator is responsible for administering Port Control – the system used to manage our shipping activities. The Co-ordinator will also provide support for marine services administrative and compliance related activities e.g. PPE, purchase orders.
Key priorities include:
- Compile and update shipping information in Port Control
- Liaise with Commercial, shipping agents, Ship Planners, Customer Support and Marine colleagues to communicate shipping information
- Provide administrative support for other marine safety systems e.g. DUKC (system that ensures vessels move safely to our port) and FAID (fatigue management system)
- Provide support to marine compliance activities
The Marine Coordinator is a key support role within the marine team and requires a positive customer service attitude, excellent relationship building skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
Due to the requirement to provide 7 day cover some weekend work is required. These roles will be on a 40 hour per week basis.
