We are currently seeking permanent forklift operators join our Port Pack team, based on-site at the port. The forklift operators are responsible for packing cargo, including timber and pulp, into containers using 4.5 and 8 tonne forklifts with clamp and tine attachments. The forklift operators will be operating up to 10 hours per shift.
Key priorities for the role include:
- Packing and de-vanning containers,
- Loading/unloading trucks,
- Providing service delivery to customer and product care standards,
- Operating machinery to a high standard,
- Working a changing shift pattern,
- Safety focused – contribute to a Zero Harm workplace through a Just Safety Culture.
The successful operators must be skilled and experienced in operating 4.5 and 8 tonne forklifts, therefore a minimum Class 2 licence with an F endorsement is required. The operators will have excellent work ethic, good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and processes within a timely and safe manner. A class 5 truck licence would be an advantage, but is not a requirement.
